Digital Organizational Change

Updated: Jan 18, 2021

Want to find links to arts research for those grants you are writing, or that presentation to your local government this is a report you have to see. Are you struggling to keep up with the Digital acceleration of today's arts-ecosystem?

We are so excited to receive our first report for this project. We started by taking internal scans of each of our organizations. Looking at Human Resources, Funding, Programming, Marketing and Technology. This informed how we are all unique but we face similar challenges, especially resources, time and funding. We learned that one person in an organization cannot be the expert or have the time to do everything. We also wished we all have Tech Tutors that we could call at a moments notice and figure out why something isn't working, avoiding hours of trying to figure it out on our own.

The question is how do we move forward in the digital age as a small arts organization with limited resources? This report prepared by Nordicity looks into how we can respond to the acceleration of digital and to leverage digital tools that we are using. The literature review showed five themes; modern audiences and the attention economy; the value of the arts; the impact of COVID-19; the need for organizational change and digital transformation.

You can read the executive summary or download the full report. Each document is chalked full of links on arts research. The Full report has more detail and includes case studies at the end. In 2021 we will continue to gather information so if you feel this is valuable to you and you want to follow our progress, be sure to sign-up for our notifications.
